Future Health appoints new midwifery advisor
Future Health Technologies Ltd has appointed a new midwifery advisor to assist the company in continuing to improve and enhance its services and to help develop its relationship with the NHS.
Tracy Thomas is a fully qualified and practicing midwife and will hold the post alongside her current role as Head of Midwifery at the Private Birth Centre in Northwich, Cheshire.
Having started her career in healthcare in 1989, Tracy qualified as a midwife in 1999 and began work in the NHS. In 2007, she set up the Private Birth Centre in order to provide greater birth options for expectant mothers with low risk pregnancies in Cheshire area. The Private Birth Centre currently delivers around 100 babies a year and is aiming for this to rise to 500 in the future.
Tracy is excited about her new role with Future Health and says: "I am passionate about sharing information so that families can make informed choices about their birth options. I also have a personal interest in stem cell collection and storage as I have firsthand experience within my close family of how this amazing procedure can make a difference to the quality of a person's life."
